Roxana Eguiluz

Roxana was born in Mexico City in 1945 and trained in various art techniques at the Escuela Nacional de Arte. After painting in oils for a number of years, she developed an interest in watercolours. She married in 1990 and came to Britain. After a while to adjust to the language and life style of the UK, she again began to paint in watercolours. Her early closeness to the natural world and handicrafts of Mexico has given her work a warmth and colourful vibrancy. She paints natural objects -- flowers, trees, landscapes, plus pottery, textiles and takes all oppontunities to employ rich the colours which she loves.
