Mary Campbell

Mary Campbell graduated with a 2.1 from the University of Liverpool in Architecture in 1967 and went on to gain a Masters degree in civic design. Later she gained a BA Hons in Art and Design. She says "My work is about people and places, preferably out of the ordinary, which is why I travel and why new experiences are often the stimulus for my paintings. I draw and paint extensively from direct observation, selecting and distorting in order to depict my response to the scene. This is often developed into prints, using collogrpahs, lino cuts and wood cuts."
