Irene Jones

Irene Jones is a fine art printmaker. She explores diverse combinations of colour, texture and shape, and this has led her to produce mostly monoprints or very limited editions in which each print is unique in its detail..

She says : "The phrase 'Calfornia Dreaming' kept running through my head during the few months that I spent living in Los Angeles. Wow! Me: living in the Dream Factory, along with all the other dream chasers! Dreams are visions, verve, inspirations, aspirations, inventions, illusions, delusions, myths and nightmares. As I work on the printing plate to produce my image, I have a dream in my mind's eye."

She graduated in fine art from the University of Central Lancashire in 1997. Since then she has exhibited widely in the UK, but especially in Liverpool and Merseyside, where she now lives. She exhibited at the Blyth Gallery in 2004.
