Emma Gladwin

Emma Gladwin was born in 1976 and studied art and design at West Nottingham College. For Emma, the female body creates unique images of motherly comfort, warmth, and safety, and the magical properties of producing new life. It is their soft, rounded qualities which influences her work. In addition, Emma also draws comparisums from the natural world.Emma hopes that her use of the very traditional medium of clay still has challenging things to say. She intends her semi figurative and abstract scupltures to both engage and educate people. Emma's work is held in both public and private collections throughout the country and she has undertaken numerous commissions.
