Gill Coakley

Gill Coakley was born in Manchester. She studied at Mid-Cheshire College of Art and Design and went on to a career in advertising spanning 20 years, first as a visualiser, then art director and finally creative director of her own agency. Her talent for award-winning creative work and a keen attention to pure graphic detail has formed a sound grounding for her development into fine art. She is inspired by the forces of nature and draws her inspiration from walks along the beaches of Pembrokeshire and Cornwall. Her pictures bring the outdoors inside and are intended to invoke the feeling of the well being she herself feels when within earshot of the Atlantic breakers. A desire to break free from the constraints of the commercial world has brought Gill Coakley back to her roots.
Gill exhibited at the Blyth Gallery in 2005 .
