Carolyne Kardia

Born in 1951, Caroliyne Kardia studied at St. Martin's School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London, receiving her MA in sculpure. Painting became central to her artistic work once she began to exploit the potential of colour. Her uplifting, joyful painntings contrast with the more meditative mood of her plaster sculptures, which she has made specifically for the Blyth Gallery exhibition.
