E. Anthony Orme







Manchester born artist, E. Anthony Orme, exhibition at the Blyth Gallery reflects three distinctly different subjects -- dynamic paintings featuring scenes of Provence, Tuscany and Venice, nostaglic images of Manchester and Salford, and studies of the human form. He works in many media, but mainly pastels, oils and acrylics.
Born in 1945, E. Anthony Orme studied at the Manchester School of Art and Design. During his distingushed career he has been invited to become a Member of the British Society of Painters, the British Guild of Artists in Print, and he has been made a Fellow of the International Guild of Artists. His work has sold throughout the world, and has been acquired by the BBC, Granada Television, Yorkshire Television and the Greater Manchester Transport Executive.
